Eleanor
Miller, from rural Connecticut, strives to find the connections
between the natural world of plants and flowers and the rest of
us. Influences from the Renaissance, from the colors she uses to
the content of spirituality, pervade her work. The resulting paintings
are at once contemporary and archaic, and always original. She celebrates
the small and unnoticed things in the world and wants to remind
us that there is beauty in almost everything. |
